Educational Objective:
Healthcare providers globally need to understand the complex factors contributing to mature xerosis and its associated pruritus, which is prevalent in the aging population. It is crucial for them to recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy skin barrier in mature skin and protecting against the increased vulnerability associated with changes in mature skin. This learning exercise aims to equip healthcare professionals with effective strategies for diagnosing and managing xerosis, including the use of prescription therapy when necessary.
